ASCP has always cultivated leaders. We may be the cradle of pharmacist leaders amongst the pharmacy associations. But not all are pharmacists. Lisa Gables started her career in accounting, working in adult day care before it became cool. She spent time at ASCP embedding herself in supporting the work our pharmacists and pharmacies dealing with older adults and the medically complex. She now leads the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and has established a "HealthForce" for providers like PAs to fight alongside pharmacists for expanded roles, filling the primary care gap. And she's fierce. Join us as we talk about efforts to elevate practitioners to the top of their licenses, working together as a force against the naysayers (like the Antiquated Medical Association or AMA).
