By most estimates, 20 million more people over the age of 65 will exist in 2030 than exist today.  That's a 40-45% increase.  Long Term Care pharmacy has been around since the late 1960s and has been mastering caring for vulnerable older adults for over 5 decades. As those same people find themselves residing more and more at home and in the community, the pharmacies and pharmacists equipped to serve them need to be organized and activated.

Presidents of the United States are often referenced by their number and our next guest is ASCP President #12.  Having spent a career in pharmacy, mostly in long term care, Rolf Schrader is one of the best of us. A lifelong ASCP member, nearly as long as the association itself, Rolf lead operations at a strong independent LTC pharmacy and later in regional operations for Omnicare. Since retiring from Omnicare, he has volunteered at ASCP as Treasurer and for the ASCP Foundation.
